The Doneu Ostrich farm was created by Jacques and Lydia Bruyaux in 1997. Located in an exceptional site, surrounding a small “castel” of roman style, today, the ostrich farm holds more than 100 ostriches of all ages.

It is the only fully autonomous ostrich farm in Belgium. Reproduction and ostrich egg incubation happen on site. Jacques and Lydia even own the only private EEC-certified ostrich slaughter house in Belgium. They transformed the castel’s outer buildings into reception hall in 1994 (about 12.000 people visit the farm every year).
